New machine! Let the patchwork commence...

So I bought a new sewing machine to enable me to properly "do" quilts. I think I'm in love - it works like a dream. I only bought it on Thursday (brought it home on the bus as I was too excited to get it delivered and I wanted it NOW). My mum was up staying with me for the week and she knows far more about sewing machines than I do. We got it from John Lewis and it was worth every penny.

I made a sampler of all the stitches then started some simple patchwork.. which is even bigger now! The blue is for my nephew and the smaller one for my friend Claire. Eeee!

Absences.....

Lack of updates due to lack of crafting time - went to a hen party down in Brighton of an old friend which was lovely, saw many old chums I hadn't seen in yonks, and have been battling headaches on and off due to medication.  

Still, my mum and dad are coming up to stay with me and I'm going to get a fancy new sewing machine from John Lewis in the next few weeks which will be a lot better suited to quilting than my basic little trusty red one.  I'll still be hanging onto it of course, as it's small and easy to move around, should I ever join a sewing class that doesn't get cancelled....
